Interesting lineup. By removing Wilshire the intention might be to speed up proceedings. Efficient dispatching of opponents is required. I would swap Arnautovich and play Hernandez.
We need some solidity in defence (numbers),industry in midfield and an assassin in front of goal.

I fail to understand the Chicharito fascination. In trying to grasp it, I fondly remember his prolific scoring in past years (albeit as a supersub mostly) and understand how some dont realize it's 2018 not 2012. That said, the fella is good for a goal every 3 games or so, but what he will not do is work a defense like Arnie. The latter has him for pace, strength and based on the last year of games, finishing too.
I would much rather invest the time in a striker that will lead the line and can keep up with the players we've signed to push the pace. Chicharito has adapted his game since losing a step, to hold up and look for a foul or a back pass, both of which will slow down our attacks. Arnie is a handful that will at least keep a couple of defenders honest given his pace and control. Get the Austrian scoring should be our priority, our lack of midfield strength behind him is a problem, one that has to be solved sooner rather than later. Javier Hernandez is not the answer to our problems, but he is a nice piece to have on the bench.

I just put Obiang and Sanchez in to shore us up a bit. Fair enough on your comments but I am not a Hernandez fan. I would rather see him come on as sub after Arnie has worn them down but I would imagine that he wont stand for it.

Fabianski
Zabaleta, Diop, Balbuena, Cresswell
Rice, Sanchez
Yarmolenko, Anderson, Snodgrass
Arnautovic
Get Anderson in the middle and get him the ball.

I can't see what Snodgrass brings to the team. Why not put Jack in for Snod which would strengthen our Achilles heel, the midfield.?

The amount of different lineups posted in this thread by us all kind of shows why the manager isn't quite sure of his first eleven yet.
Each of us is certain we know how it should go, but we all disagree with each other

I'm not a big Snodgrass fan but on current form he deserves to be ahead of Wilshere. I had him in my XI as Everton away is a tough game and you need those players who will put a shift in and Snodgrass is one of those. Had this been at home I'd have a more attacking player in.

...and it's these precise variations which is making this an especially interesting period.I'm enjoying the whole process.
And I bet Senor Pellegrini is. He is one lucky fella...
