They are after Steve Bruce as manager.

looks like my relegation prediction is looking solid.
"After him" makes it sound as if Newcastle are actively pursuing the bloke. I'd suggest Bruce would walk to St James' Park to take up the position.

And I do agree it makes relegation even more likely.
What has split the fanbase is not that he is shit but that he managed the mackems. That seems to be a bit of an issue !

I like Newcastle. Good people. And one of the few whose fans (well the vast majority) didn't infest Hammersmad with gloating when the golem took us down. In fact many empathised and wished us well.

They never deserved that cunt Mike Ashley. I hope he fucks off soon and if they really are lining up the elephant man it sums the whole fucking circus up.

It would be comical if was not true. They certainly have had to endure more than fans should. What happened to the proposed deal to sell the club to the gentleman from the middle east?

Which pretty much sums up the herd mentality of many football fans imo. They simply cannot accept that managers, like players, are simply employees. The same thing happened when Benitez went to Chelsea. Despite winning the Europa Cup he was never accepted because of his prior connection with Liverpool. And in all probability that Liverpool connection probably scuppered any chance of Man United's board appointing him instead of Solskjaer last year.

George Graham going to manage Spurs was another one, as was Terry Neill way before then, because of their Arsenal connections. It really is pathetic imo.

Second tier of 'oh god please no' managers.

Top: Allardyce, McClaren, Bruce.
Tier 2: Pardew, Hughes, Pulis, Woy, McCarthy, Warnock.
Fuck off: Stuart Pearce, Tony Adams, Gary Neville.
I get it now. I think.
Sorry mate, I should have been a bit clearer I was waffling on about shite managers.

I'm amazed we've only had two of that lot. Then again we did have Avram Grant...

Communism deprives no man of the power to appropriate the products of society; all that it does is to deprive him of the power to subjugate the labour of others by means of such appropriations.

Its survival tactics. Bruce wont demand new players. Just asked to keep them in the league and given a 20 million budget plus what he can get from exits.
Them fans need to protest and force the owner out.

They'll only "force him out" if the club together to raise enough money to buy his shares mate. The only other option is to not buy tickets or merchandise, which will reduce the club's profitability (less money for Ashley's investment) which would potentially reduce the club's value making it less expensive for a potential buyer.

All the talk about fan protests is very 1970's imo.

If indeed he DID receive an offer. More likely he’s trying to get his name under the spotlight as he always does around this time.

Bruce resigned from Sheffield Wednesday, look like a done deal to become Newcastle manager.

At least he is NOT managing our club.
