Transfer Success

Postby h69 » Thu Jun 14, 2018 3:38 pm

Would you say our window has been a success if we were to get to the end of the window and would have signed

Fabianski
Fredericks
Diop
Mawson
Wilshere
Anderson

and kept Arnie, Hernandez and Rice (as a DM) ?

I would believe I had woken up in a world which existed in a parallel universe.

Or that I had had several too many the previous evening.

If it looks like a cunt, walks like a cunt, and talks like a cunt it's either Boris Johnson or Jeremy Corbyn.

I reckon most are likely (nothing guaranteed other than Fredericks obvs) apart from Wilshere which I just threw in in the vague hope he agrees to a pay cut since he seems to want out !

Must admit, I know nothing about Diop but happy with the rest

The Lanzini injury certainly throws a spanner in the future of these 2 players. If Anderson is being signed to cover the No 10 then Antonio is still needed on the right (presuming we don't resign Mario). Alternately with Lanzini's wages being recompensed by the Argies, Reid's wages wouldn't be that much of an obstacle for a player, who when fit, would be a good backup for Rice, Ogbog and whichever of the CBs we end up signing. Also think he'd be hard to move given his injuries of late and gives us another year for hopefully Oxford to develop.

Would be a huge success
Ref wilshire's wages, I have not seen what his demands are but to get a player of that calibre on a free transfer I think it's got to be accepted that we pay him over the top with some of the saved transfer money

That should be countered by his apparent lack of ability to remain injury free.
