  • Why criticism of Masuaku vs. Liverpool has been completely unfair
by ExWHUEmployee on August 13, 2018 at 8:10 pm

Written by @gingesteel I have seen countless calls for Arthur Masuaku to be dropped in favor of Aaron Cresswell after one match against Liverpool, where we conceded 4 goals. As a team, the defense and midfield were objectively very poor. Pelligrini employed a high-line that our players were unfamiliar and unexperienced with, resulting in a… The post Why criticism of Masuaku vs. Liverpool has been completely unfair appeared first on The West Ham Way. by ExWHUEmployee on August 13, 2018 at 5:09 pm

Hearing the discussion on the West Ham way radio show about academy players and what they are doing now inspired me to look more in-depth at this subject so here is just a few I’ve picked out. If you have any requests for more contact me on Twitter @__BenHughes Blair Turgott Turgott joined the Academy… The post Academy of football. Where are they now? appeared first on The West Ham Way. • Player Ratings from the Liverpool game
by ExWHUEmployee on August 13, 2018 at 3:18 pm

Written by George Lewis Fabianski – Made a good reaction save from a cross, a great fingertip stop from an Alexander-Arnold free kick, and spread himself excellently to deny Salah a tap-in. Completely blameless in any of the goals, and there was nothing to suggest he shouldn’t be the number one goalkeeper. 7/10 Fredericks –… The post Player Ratings from the Liverpool game appeared first on The West Ham Way. • Performances Over Results For a While Yet
by ExWHUEmployee on August 13, 2018 at 3:07 pm

Written by benfleet_hammer There can be no doubt that the 4-0 defeat at Anfield on Sunday was a disappointment. Although even the most ardent fan would have to admit that we could only have hoped for a win or a draw against arguably the second best team in Europe, I think we all expected a… The post Performances Over Results For a While Yet appeared first on The West Ham Way. • Away Days: Anfield
by ExWHUEmployee on August 10, 2018 at 9:39 pm

Written by @craigpodevin We head into our first game of the competitive season against a Liverpool team tipped to challenge City for the title. I’m feeling optimistic about this season personally, but I would happily come away from Anfield with a point. Let’s kick off our season positively and back the lads ahead of the… The post Away Days: Anfield appeared first on The West Ham Way. […]

  • From there to here
by ExWHUEmployee on August 10, 2018 at 3:01 pm

Written Mark Vickers I’ve been meaning to put finger to keyboard for some time now – I last wrote in March after the Burnley fiasco and let’s be honest we were in a total mess, facing relegation and with virtually no cause for optimism. Let’s quickly recap where we were at the time: Subject to… The post From there to here appeared first on The West Ham Way. […]

  • The Man U game last season was my West Ham nadir!
by ExWHUEmployee on August 10, 2018 at 2:32 pm

Written by Apu Vyas @apuvyas I was completely disillusioned.  I’ve supported West Ham since the 70s and have mentioned how as a little brown kid in a prejudiced East London, West Ham accepted me and gave me a spiritual home.  Regardless of relegation or last minute losses or heartbreaking cup run endings, we always had… The post The Man U game last season was my West Ham nadir! appeared first on The West Ham Way. Written by Graeme Ivatt So as it stands we have just over a week until the transfer window closes and I thought I would take this opportunity to have a look at how the window has gone so far! Firstly I was concerned that we would go into the 18-19 season with David Moyes. Don’t… The post West Ham’s Transfer Window So Far appeared first on The West Ham Way. […]
