Four wins from our last four games, up to ninth, and at last we get a clean sheet…just how far can this West Ham side go?
Goals from Robert Snodgrass and Michail Antonio ensured the Hammers went home happy despite the wet weather, and Manuel Pellegrini is really taking effect.
It wasn’t our best performance by any means, but it was certainly a professional one.
No West Ham fan is ever comfortable when we are winning, but there is a belief in this team that makes us feel like we just cannot be beaten at the moment, and the confidence we are playing with is incredible!
Game-management is something we notoriously struggle with, but to keep a clean sheet and manage the game like we did was a very positive sign.
If I told you a month ago that Snodgrass and Antonio would be our stand out performers, you would laugh in my face, but that just shows the impact Pellegrini is having on this team.
We are now two points of Manchester United in sixth, where on earth has this come from?
I’ll tell you where. It’s not down to one individual, it’s a collective achievement. Finally we are putting in the effort and the players are playing for each other, it’s no longer a group of individuals, which is credit to Pellegrini and all of the staff involved.
With Christmas around the corner, every Hammers fan will feel like this is an early present, but where does this stop?
Up next is Watford who are level on points with us, followed by trips to Southampton and Burnley before the new year.
This is our opportunity to show the league how serious we are about competing at the top level, and may the winning streak continue! COYI!
