Samir Nasri looks destined to return to the Premier League, as he is currently undergoing a medical ahead of a move to West Ham, according to the Evening Standard.
The contract would see the Frenchman earn £80,000 per week, which would last until the end of the season.
Manuel Pellegrini has worked with Nasri before at Manchester City, and with the current injury crisis in midfield at West Ham, he could be the answer to the manager’s prayers.
The 31-year-old playmaker is currently a free agent, after he was suspended from football following a doping violation.
However, that suspension ends in December, meaning Nasri would be allowed to play for the Hammers from then on, should the move be completed.
The midfielder has made over 200 appearances in the Premier League during his time at Arsenal and Manchester City, and a move to the Stratford-based club could certainly bolster their attacking options.
With creative players such as Manuel Lanzini and Jack Wilshere currently injured, the introduction of Nasri looks to be a good move, granted he can still play at the highest level.
Pellegrini is fond of this transfer, and the deal looks as if it will be completed very soon, and Nasri looks set to be playing in claret and blue in the near future.
