Michail Antonio has confirmed that West Ham striker Marko Arnautovic is leaving the club.

Arnautovic has been heavily linked with a move to China this January, and his agent, who is also his brother, publicly stated he wants out.

Antonio has all but confirmed this after he was found speaking about the Austrian on Goals on Sunday. He said: “Everyone knows Arnautovic wants to go.

“He could feel China is the next best step in his career.”

An unknown Chinese club have reportedly placed a £35 million bid in for Arnautovic, and would earn significantly more money than he does at West Ham.

This is a massive blow for the Hammers, but no player is bigger than the club, so if he wants to leave, then they should just let him to avoid another Dimitri Payet situation.

With little time to find a replacement forward, this departure could be at huge detriment to the Hammers’ push for Europa League this campaign.

It just goes to show that money was more important for Arnautovic, and ultimately that looks like the reason of his departure should he leave this January.

West Ham fan for as long as I can remember. I was flukey enough to watch The Irons beat Bury 10-0 in my first ever game . . . True to form, West Ham then went out and signed their central defender 😬

  1. Money grabbing brother and meant nothing to arni patting the badge and doing the irons sign

Only hope west ham get more than £35m.
