We go in to the final game with not much to play for on either side really. Both had underwhelming seasons and ended up with a notable manager from each others past that no one wants to see return next year.

This is the game that I really hope we approach in the way I wanted us to for the majority of the Man U. We have nothing to lose and defeat while trying to win and play the right way would be more acceptable than a defensive set up with the hope that we can still be in the game at 70 minutes and bring on a sub to get the goal for us. We have a few players that are back and Collins in particular I hope get a run out just in case the board disgust me even further and let him leave. He is part of the identity of what West Ham is and how we can sign Evra for half a season but not even let Collins know our intentions is just further proof of how some people really only care about the numbers and not the human element of our club. But that’s a rant for another day.

Being the last game of the season and us safe it looks as though there may be a few changes, Hughill is finally going to get a chance and it seems as though he has got the right attitude still even though he has spent more time jogging up and down the touchline warming up than on the pitch. I really hope he takes this chance, I had never heard of Sakho before we signed him and in terms of ability he was more than capable so hopefully Jordan can get the time to show us what hes about and stake a claim for a place in the squad next season.

Everton have been pretty much as you would expect under Big Sam, I watched some of their game with Southampton last week and they were typically boring. Their most exciting player went of at half time and with Bolasie out of the game they didn’t really have any one to fear one the ball. Noone who could skin a player get the crowd excited and build some momentum. All Arthur has to do is go towards a player and you hear screams of “do him!!” and the momentum can be turned just from one attack of one bit of skill that’s gets the crowd up for it. If Bolasie is playing then him against Masuaku could be a really exciting one, both quick to attack and have plenty of flair. But BFS wont be having to much of that and the fact he took him of to bring on a defender last week shows hes not too keen on Bolasie and with Walcott in contention he could be in with a shout for Bolasies place.

Luckily for us they have a few dangerous players out, Sigurdsson and Rooney both expected to be out with the latter being a real bonus as he ALWAYS seems to score even when he has a mare we gift him a golden chance.

Predicted XI

WHUFC: Adrian, Cresswell, Ogbonna, Rice, Masuaku , Noble, Lanzini, Zabaletta, Arnoutovic, Hughill.

EFC: Pickford, Baines, Keane, Jagielka, Coleman, Schneiderlin , Gueye, Bolasie, Davies, Walcott, Tosun

Score prediction: 1-0 Hughill with the goal
