Best player on the pitch once again! He would have had another 5 assists if the rest of them were switched on. I don't think any amount is worth taking, it is rather a case of if he wants to go. We should get at least 60m if that's the case.
I can see why Bilic like to play him on the wing in a roaming role. He does attack the line a lot better facing goal and not with his back to goal with 3 defenders around him in the middle of the park. They looked a lot more dangerous the moment he started running onto the ball facing goal.
I do like to listen to Bilic on ITV, he does make a lot of sense and it seems more and more like we have one of the best managers out there.
I don't worry about Barca or Real coming after him. The club I worry about is PSG. Zlatan has ruled the roost there for the last few years and they need a figurehead. I just hope they set their sights on someone, anyone else.
He'll still be with us next season. No one is going to pay the money we want for a player who at the end of the day is 29. If he were 25 then we'd have our work cut out keeping him. But at 29, different story. He's loved at West Ham by the fans and we are moving in to a new era and at his age it's best for him to stay and help us reach new heights. It's a good deal all round for all parties.
