Pele - end of life care

Post by Dwayne Pipes »

Sad news about football icon Pele some say the greatest of all time but definitely a football Legend imo.

Remember that great Brazil team of 1970.

The 1970 Brazil team were outstanding but by 1974, Pele,Tostao and Gerson had retired plus Carlos Alberta.

Leaving the very knacked Rivelleno and Jairzinho puffing around...and that team was sheeeeeeeeit !

There will always be a debate about whose the greatest is(for me,it's between Pele and Maradona),but there is no doubt Pele was a wonderful human being.I would say the most loved and respected Footballer in the world.

Each Era has it's player/s and their skills shouldn't be lessened by comparing them with those of the future. However as people it is a different story, Pele as a person was mountains higher than Maradona.

When asked who I think of first when it comes to the greatest player it will be Pele's name to come out first, yet there are many.

A true legend. He always seemed to play the game with a smile on his face.

No comparison at all with anyone else, Pele is the ONLY player to have won 3 World Cups and that was 3 from 4 consecutively.

And we all know who won the one in the middle...

Absolutely no debate, Pele will always be the best ever especially playing in an age when GBH on the pitch was legal.

My avatar is one of the greatest ever football photos as well
