Need a miracle really, the messiah has left us with an aging squad of players.

LB, Rb, 2xCB, pacy DM, pacy CM, Lw x2, striker x 2
It’s not what you do it is the way that you do it.

I used to work in Chicago in the old department store
I used to work in Chicago but I don't work there any more
Loppy came in for a striker. A striker from the store
En-Nesri he wanted, Crouch he got and I don't work there any more

With a bit of creative thinking I think we could pull a few cats out of the bag to make things appear not quite as bad. From your list, which it's hard to disagree with, lets go with----
LB---Surely Scarles, who looked excellent on his one appearance, must be ready now for at least a squad place.
RB---We simply have to keep Johnson. Simple as imo
2 x CB---Yes, dust off the cheque book.
DM---Bring Downes back when his loan is finished
CM---We have Potts, back from his succesful loan, and Easthy raring to go. Could they fill a couple of squad places ?
LW---Is Cornet any good ? Got to be worth at least a try so JL cabn make his mind up. One other is needed though
Striker---Agree we need to bring in a quality striker. I'm hopeful that Mubama, if used correctly, will prove to be an adequate back up for the squad. And we've also got Marshall coming along.

So I'd say it's vital we buy in 4 quality players. 2 x CD, i x LW and 1 striker. I'd hope the other holes can be filled by what we've already got at the club. But when it comes to buying in the key word is quality. And of course the goalposts could shift again if anyone leaves. But at least if that happens there will be money coming in which can be used to fund replacements.

Not really the sort of player we should be looking at for a rebuild is he ? 28 years old and played all his career in South America.

Doesn't mean he's no good of course but aren't most top quality South American players brought over to Europe before they're 28 ?

Post by Ibbyham »

West Ham have confirmed that they got their first summer signing in Fabricio Bruno, 28, a central defender that will add steel and experience to our back-line for a bargain £12.7M

2nd signing is imminent with Guriassey, the winger 23,

Don’t be a cunt Ibby , we pretty much already have a transfer thread .
Consider it merged.

Just forgot about this thread as well so cheers.

btw, the 2nd transfer that may be done soon on Gassova, not Guriassy as I spelt it wrong.
