Based on present form, let's say in 2024, we can forget Europe and just be glad we've already accumulated 36 points. If Pacqueta is, as has been reported, going to be out for another 4 weeks or so we have absolutely no creativity in the side whatsoever now that Fornals has left. Bowen and Kudus are bloody good players but they need the ball to be able to impact on the game. Alvarez has a decent pass in him but his services are needed shielding a highly suspect defence.
Can't see us getting too much joy today tbh. Wood and Awoniyi will scare Aguerd shitless with their physicality and Zouma's knees seem to have completely given up. So what options do we have? We could bring in the bloke who imo is still the best CD at the club despite being 36 in a month or two FFS, but he has no pace, or we could play the bubble who seems to have a major mistake in him every game.
