Why has our midfield sat so far back , and left a hole in midfield , or am I just being overly critical .
Anyway onwards and upwards , and finally a win under our belts .

I would say the team (not the squad) still needs two more quality additions

I think we have to be honest- obviously we have the better players and there were three bits of notable skill which led to 3 goals- but honestly looking at the rest of the game I thought Viborg taught our lot a thing or two about game management in the way they held the ball-but unfortunately for them and luckily for us their players didn’t have the necessary ability to capitalise on the rope a dope tactics-

Slow and lethargic first half would be an understatement
Nice cross and a good finish from our new ens
Once the Argie bottle job was replaced thankfully at half time started a bit more lively with Fornals
A good finish from Bowen who seemed pissed off when subbed
Nice footwork from Benny to set up Antonio for our third
Seemed to piss of bug eyes big time the soppy cunt
Poor defending for their consolation goal
A lot of work still needed hopefully a couple of more additions.
Could have gone a lot worse.

Their high pressing bothered us and stopped us playing it out. That along with playing a kid a right back, a right back at centre back and a right back at left back left everyone at sixes and sevens a bit. Coventry had some decent passes in him at the start and Soucek left him to it rather than support him much.

Coufal wasn’t comfortable sending it down the line for ice cream man coz his left foot is for standing. Woulda been different if we had a left back but then Coufal woulda played on the right and Ashby wouldn’t have had a look in. Thought Ashby had a decent game.

Can't disagree with most of that, but can I add this. Why can't we keep possession like Viborg did most of the game when we are hanging on to a one goal lead instead of using our normal hoof it a long way upfield tactics ? I thought we were a bloody embarrassment tonight tbh but, as you say, it could have been worse. In fact it still could be although hopefully we can't play as badly as that 3 games running surely..

Was unable to watch. Not sure who has the rights this year (Paramount probably).

How did Ashby and Coventry perform? And Oggy?
