No solution to appalling full back situation.

PS Arnie was not a proper striker,he was a makeshift one.Now Haller,that is a striker!

Arnautovic was the best CF we've had in years.
Only better one in last 25 years was Kanoute.

Ashton & Defoe were shit then?
Ashton was very, very over rated. Too slow to be a top CF.
Defoe did not fo much for us. His best work was after he left.
Arnautovic was unplayable at times.

One up front formation he WAS the CF.
He played as a lone striker but that was not his position. Anyway, he was a decent player no doubt but we have signed better in Haller and I would put Fornals as a serious upgrade to Noble.
So based on those two alone and for your original question, yes I am more optimistic.
