Not me. My knowledge of Czech football is zero. But I do sometimes get asked to do a bit of work evaluating players and if it’s keepers my money would go on Alvaro Fernandez who plays for Huesca in La Liga.
Whaddya mean you do a bit of work evalating players? Who for ? Do you get paid ? Can anyone do it coz Id be intrested.
Clubs keep tabs on thousands of player. They get sent DVDs of players by, for example, agents. They often use outside help to vet these. They'll get people (like me) to watch and do an evaluation. Then they look at the feedback they get from everyone they've asked for the evaluation and, based on that, they might decide to do a more in depth assessment. That will mean watching the player in match situations. Again they ofyen., in the first instances, use outside people.
Who for ? I was first asked to do it when Liam Brady was in charge of the Arsenal academy round about 2000 . I do some coaching with a kids team and that's when I first met one of Liam's staff and it sort of went on from there. Since then I've been asked by a few other people at other clubs from time to time.
Do I get paid ? Not for doing the DVD evaluations and reports. A few times over the years I've been asked to watch a particular player in a match and you get paid expenses for that, but not an actual fee.
Can anyone do it ? If you're interested, no harm in writing to clubs offering your services.
