Hope he has brilliant European campaign, and we get a few offers for him. Would snap up breaking even. What did we pay? 20mil?

Hate all the bullshit from everyone about him and will we/should we. I say just go get Pereira who is apparently confirmed available at £15mil. Cheaper, younger, dunno about pace but I think more skilful.
Tbh that’s all them fucking fannys on Twatter

What do you say, keep or sell?

IMO give him another year especially if the Ukrainian nr 9 will be signed, they work very well together with Ukraine and he would help him settle...

Hopefully his injury problems are behind him now
Sell him. He’s only got a left foot. Been found out and now needs moving on. The Ukrainian striker ain’t the only one out there

Sell , ( hopefully his current form at the euro's continues ) we need a club similar to the way we were run to come in for him and pay a ridiculous £20m .
Over Thirty and Injured most seasons , doubt very much that its behind him .

Our fans are completely obsessed with transfers and spend all summer whining. No wonder these ITKs make so much money.
The fans of all clubs love the transfer windows including yours truly whufc_crest , its all about hoping the club bring in players to improve the team and do well . As for the fans of this club whining , do you not think the past record of signings has some validity , apart from a lack of a director of football and scouting system , just look at the record of the forwards that have come into the club , the injury prone has-beens , we have not had a great time of it over the years .
Hopefully Moyes will get it right , but as we all know from fans at Everton Moyes is far from decisive when making decisions on players he has scouted and was well known as a ditherer .

Its been like this for years but the year we spent a load of money on 9 players was probably the worst thing that happened to the club.

If you want to talk about precedence then maybe these guys need to look at all the windows since the Transfer Window was brought in for all clubs. Majority of transfers happen late in the window because of players being on holiday and because each transfer can trigger a few others downstream and that is even more the case when there is a tournament where most players are in teams that impose transfer discussion bans.

It is often a bit like buying a house these days. There is a chain and many teams get replacements before allowing players out plus the contracts are hugely complex given the mass of endorsements and image rights included to make sure the poor darlings don't starve over the next 5 years.

So moaning that we have no-one in already when the window is only open for 9 days is crazy but people unfortunately never learn and you are right, it is as bad at other clubs.

Ironically the same people whining that they are hearing nothing are the same ones who complain about leaks

Do you think he could make a real impact in the Premiership?
I reckon a bigger impact than Hugill , the last Championship striker we brought in ! .
Dare I say that would hardly be difficult???

LEEDS AND WEST HAM BATTLE FOR NANDEZ

by Susy Campanale | Jun 18, 2021 22:58 | News, Cagliari, Inter, Newsnow, Transfer Market

Leeds United and West Ham United are entering a bidding war for Cagliari and Uruguay midfielder Nahitan Nandez, according to Italian reports.

Udinese and Argentina star Rodrigo De Paul was for many months a target for Leeds, although he eventually decided to join Atletico Madrid for a reported €35m plus bonuses.

However, Leeds are again looking to Serie A for inspiration on the transfer market.

Nandez has been linked with Inter as part of the move taking Radja Nainggolan to Cagliari on a permanent basis.

According to La Nuova Sardegna newspaper and Sportitalia, Nandez is a prime target for Leeds United coach Marcelo Bielsa.

He is prepared to urge Leeds to offer €36m for the Cagliari star, but there is competition from West Ham, who Sportitalia transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà maintains could bid over €40m.

Nandez is a 25-year-old Uruguay international who joined Cagliari from Boca Juniors in 2019 for €17m.

He scored two goals and provided three assists in 32 Serie A appearances this season, helping them to avoid relegation into Serie B.

Report: Leeds and West Ham remain interested in Serie A defender, he will cost £13m

Italian website Club Doria have claimed that Leeds United and West Ham United are interested in Sampdoria defender Omar Colley. The duo have been linked in the past with the Gambia international but the new report states that they are still keen. It is also claimed he will cost just £13million.

Colley, 29, has been excellent for Sampdoria over the past three seasons. Clocking up 85 appearances in all competitions since his move from KRC Genk, his form has attracted interest from the Premier League. Both West Ham and Leeds are the latest clubs to be mentioned as interested.

Leeds are well-stocked at centre-back but Liam Cooper, Diego Llorente and Robin Koch were all injured at the same time last season. Meanwhile, West Ham need cover in numerous positions as they embark on a Europa League campaign. A centre-back would be high on their list of priorities.

Is £13m a good deal for Colley – amid interest from West Ham and Leeds?

What Colley brings is pace at centre-back. It is his best trait. Alongside that, he is decent on the ball but fearless in the tackle, physical, strong and good in the air. He has a bit of everything – no surprises why Leeds and West Ham are keen. At £13million, he is pretty cheap.

But he is already 29 and probably does not have the amount of games you would want from someone who is in their peak years. A good signing, but there could be better options out there for Leeds and the Hammers.

Are we sure we should be selling Yarmo? We need to add players to the squad not replace. I think he could do well in the Europa League matches.. not the same intencity as the PL.

My biggest concern is we go into next season with a small squad like last season. It went OK because we went out of both cups and only had the league to focus on but a couple of injuries and it was clear our squad was too small. We need to be able to rotate players without the quality taking too much of a hit.
