There was a lovely balance to the team and I would like to see a re-run of that lineup for this one. Ogbonna's inclusion natch.

Very impressed and that gives us two viable playing styles. With Declan it's the counter attacking, marauding style and without Declan it's the possession based, probing, passing the opposition to death style, that Arsenal trademarked, before Man City came along and said, that's the way to do it; which involved scoring goals as an end product.

So now we know what we want to do, roughly speaking and the manager is demonstrating a certain adaptability bordering on competence, it's a moment to reassess our own levels of DM tolerance.

And with those breezy observations - got out of the way - may the 4th be with us...
You think Arsenal created Tiki Taka and not Barcelona ?
Not in the least, I was just giving a couple of very casual domestic examples. I thought it best not to be cosmopolitan because others might object.

Lets smash them from the first whistle and make them fear us, come on you rip roaring goal scoring irons. First time in 25 years I am no longer held back by pessimism or charlie-brown-itis. Whatever the final position, what a delightfully entertaining season and run in we have. Let's goooooooo, enjoy the good times while they last.

Their only goal was a penalty, and although it still counts, I don't think that it was a black mark against our defence, but a black mark against Soucek, who was just a split second late.

Agreed, but therein lies the problem of having a strong midfield at the expense of a strong strike force - we'll create many more opportunities without as many marksmanlike finishes.

I don't know what the stats say, but I can't recall having so much possession on a regular basis. I'd prefer to have fifty shots on goal where only one goal is scored, than only one shot on goal from which we score. It means the ball spends more time at the end of the pitch from where the opposition can't score.

Good job Ibbs.

You must surely have the best points per match thread ratio of anyone since the days of HammersMad.

We apparently had 22 shots at goal.

If we do that against Everton I fear we will be punished. Win this and we can possibly find our way back into the top 4, with the games that we and Chelsea have remaining.
I don't see Chelsea slipping up but I think Leicester's last 3 games are at Chelsea, Manchester United and at home to Spurs. Which could make them vulnerable.
Chelsea play Man City next with a win all Citeh needs to secure the title. I can see a potential slip up for Chelsea there. They also have to face Arsenal & Leicester. Whilst they will of course be favorites in those games, they are by no means easy fixtures.
