Is it a dead rubber though?
It is in the sense of qualification although finishing 3rd would mean a harder QF game in theory.
Oh right - forgot about the third place get out clause.

They should go out and play to win the fucking match.

Just had a look and if I’m right Scotland or Croatia have to win by 3 clear goals to take 2nd spot. Scotland coz of goal difference and Croatia coz of their head to head with us. Can’t see England wanting to win as 2nd looks the easiest route. Doubt the Czechs will be going all out to win it either. Definitely not a game Geo will be doing a card bet in
Not too sure how it works. Does head to head trump goal difference ? But England's GD is +1 and the Czechs are +2. Croatia and Scotland are -1 and -2 respectively.

So if Croatia win by 2 goals and England lose by the same margin Croatia and England would both be on 4 points and Croatia would have a better goal difference.

I think.

The footballing Jedi Knight Southgate finally looks to start with Grealish…. in a game where his opposite number absolutely had him on toast in the P.L this season.

   If Grealish plays the number 10 role it might be a bit different. But hilarious nonetheless. Glad Southgate been doing his homework, the useless pizza munching, paper bag wearing twonk

I don’t think I’ve been so unenthusiastic for our country at a tournament ever.

Still on the bright side if grealish does play, they'll be no need to mow the grass afterwards. As he does like a bit of grazing during a game.
