You're older than me.
When I started going, when football was football, I always had a season ticket in the West stand, upper tier near halfway line, next to directors box (seats).

A bit of a blur some of the early stuff, but I was about players.
I remember tearful when we sold Macavennie........... being over the moon when we signed him back but quickly realised that was gone in the second speel.
Am I correct in saying he scored ahat trick his last game for us?

I actually sat near there when I use to go with my Dad.I would go to handful of games every year up to 78/79,then become a regular...My Dad only shouted at West Ham

Great seats.
On the halfway, upper tier but close to the pitch as practically no track around the pitch.

After years therer we upgraded, without checking them, to more expensive seats, cannot rememeber what they were called. The shit where you can go in an exclusive bar before the match. Real waste of time.
When we turned up first game of the season these great seats, probably twice the price of the others, were in the West stand lower tier close to the corner. Horrendous views.
Typical West ham. sell shit seats for more money than the best ones in the ground.
