He’s played pretty every game for club and country as has rice. His Break consisted of him skiing cross country (his choice of course). I reckon he is as fit as they get, however, a break or even bringing him on 2nd half might re energise him. Not rocket science mate.

I'm just not sure if a break will make him able to pass to a team mate, run with the ball or increase his pace from very slow to slow.

All good points , and I do see them as verified as seen on the pitch , but Soucek didn't have to have any of those attributes when Rices was playing as the dominant defensive midfielder in the team , rather than the all inspiring box to box midfielder ( who is trying to do it all on his own ) .

sorry Clayton but did rice play the box to box player yesterday ? i didn't see it

i would not be surprised if his carrying an injury as Dawson has been for some six weeks if the info is correct

All these excuses of 'tired' or ' Rices role affects Soucek'. Seems the modern football fan is always looking for a reason rather than just admitting he ain't all that.
As stated, he caught teams cold last season with his aerial ability. Coaches watched him. Worked out how to negate that threat. Now we see what else he has got in his locker. NOTHING.
A Championship plodding midfielder who offers less than Kovak did.

Soucek did very well yesterday and hope he will be back to his best.

We should keep Soucek and Coufal who he was injured as it was the injury that made his form a bit dipped but he will be back to his best by end of the season when he come back.

Best signing we ever had.
