U23’s vs Southend

Just watched the highlights of this game. No idea if that was Southend’s 1st team coz I don’t know any of their players anymore but 5-1 still a good result.
Stand out players for me were Diallo (11) and Ekwah (8).

What a load of speed merchants ! Pretty impressive and some of those strikes were emphatic. That's the Europa team right there :o

From what my Shrimper mate tells me they struggle to put any side out so I reckon it was as strong as they could get it.

I think I’d be happy with a few of them getting a chance in those games. Depending on who we’re grouped with of course

Sad state of affairs down here Al. Sold the only bloke who was scoring goals last season to pay their tax bill. They were prob going down anyway but I think that sale sealed the deal. My mate also said it’s just a kid in goal. Don’t fancy their chances much for the upcoming season
