From my point of view,I don't see it has acceptable. It is legal by the book,but morally,I think it`s wrong.
And that is the nail on the head right there. For all the fans wanting new billionaire owners, they need to understand that most of them did not become billionaires by really caring about the latter rather than the former.
Even Man City's owners are in it to try and pretend that they have a reasonable human rights record when they have not and as for Abramovic, I suspect it is a money laundering exercise.
I think you may well be right about the reason Abramovich became involved in football. A club would certainly be an excellent vehicle for laundering cash. However he does at least appear, when he is in attendance, to be enjoying the toy he has created. And I suppose it can be argued that he did at least create a competitor to Man United and Arsenal who, before he ploughed his cash into Chelsea, were pretty much a duopoly in the PL.
