I find it odd that they sack the bloke after winning for the first time in the PL since 1905. Why not sack him last week.

Buendia hasn't pulled up any trees for Villa but yes, he was good last season, but it's a huge step up in class.

Steve Bruce to the rescue?
It’s not what you do it is the way that you do it.

He would seem the logical choice.

Ex-player and all.

Steve Bruce would tick the boxes for those people, rather silly ones imo, who seem to prefer former players to ability when it comes to choosing managers. And on that point I haven't seen the news this morning yet, has Solskjaer still got his parking spot at the training ground ?

Agree on both points. I also don’t think anyone’s really been picking up any trees at Villa. Expect smiths head next on the chopping board

Denis Smith might be in a uber but Dean Smith has had to return the club Porche Cayenne, back to the car pool. The nifty VL V8 (Taupe - this years coolest neutral) is now available for the next speedy driver.

Dean was quoted as saying 'I loved driving that car and I wish her all the very best in the future'

Aston Villa made an executive briefing and said 'Dean is always welcome in the car park and can come back and visit anytime'

Sweet leaping Jesus - it's all very COP26
