garnett wrote: Sun Dec 05, 2021 8:22 am I was right it was difficult to watch, hated the set up inviting them on, Antonio will continue playing until he gets injured, yet another dogshit performance and yet we went and nicked 3 points with a fluke, the football gods looked after the after us today.

Great to see Soucek connecting with the fans, I want to see more of that from our players.
Totally agree in some respects we were horrible to watch ( apart from Bowen/Rice ) , but we did take advantage first half of their dodgy keeping ( what else could we do , call it luck what ever a fluke) to equalise . But things did change second half with the forced substitutions and change of formation we did perform better with Fornals calling the shots in his best position , and Lanzini in behind .
Yeah we were shit against the European Champions and league leaders at the time of playing. A team who's youth team would give anyone a game no doubt. The best player on the pitch was Bowen, who came from the Championship a couple of seasons back. Ffs stop talking bollocks.

Yes we were a bit flat first half, the system want working as it should, but we were still in the game. We lost 2 defenders and stuck 3 goals past a team who haven't conceded 2 all season, after being behind twice. We also did that against Liverpool.
How anyone can begin to fucking criticise our current squad or attitude to the game, beggars belief.

Absolutely.

Whatever Moyes said to Antonio at half time needs to be bottled and sold under the counter at dodgy Off Licences. Different player second half. Power, pace and commitment.

Has to be Fredericks plus three kids against Zagreb. We can't risk any more injuries. Obviously no news about Zoomer and Johnson yet, but the fact they both walked off doesn't suggest long-term absence and hopefully Cresswell will be back next Sunday. But another CH is an absolute must in January.

Bowen was amazing. If that arrogant Kraut victim cunt wants him, Statler and Walforf should suggest a straight swap for the shoe bomber with them picking up his wages.

And ps.

Credit to Tuchel for taking it on the chin. Proof that not all Germans are whinging fuckers looking for excuses.
Just a little reminder mate, Oggy walked off. So that don’t say either way about how serious an injury is. Bang on about Tuchel and Bowen 👍🏽
You're such a ray of sunshine Jay

Johnson's pulled a hammy. The severity of those varies. I pulled mine once and was playing again after 3 weeks and I was an unfit park player on a diet of beer and kebabs in my mid-30's at the time not a 19 year old athlete.

Fingers crossed.

I didn't actually criticise the squad or their attitude in my response to Garnett's post , didn't even say they were shit , if you read my post prior to the match actually in response to another of Garnett's posts - ( Still think we have the players to cause them problems on our day , especially if Moyes can get the selection right ( can't deny we are lacking in a couple of areas but we have fighters in the squad who can do themselves and us proud today ) , lets just hope Chelsea are below par ) .

Just seen motd. Think that’s the 1st time in ever that we’ve beat one of the big boys and the pundits actually praised us rather than focus on how bad the big boys were. In fact they didn’t even really talk about Chelsea that much.

We are massive ⚒

Having said that, all the injuries we are picking up at the back are a real concern with the Xmas schedule looming on the horizon. Fingers crossed for some good news soon.

Great win today and I am still buzzing.

If people don't like Moyes, fair enough, that's their choice, but Garnett's post about us being dogshit and lucky is beyond a joke. Yes Chelsea made mistakes, and so did we and Moyes, but we got it right second half and Chelsea couldn't live with Antonio, Bowen and Soucek.
I actually thought Rice had a quiet game by his standards. He did what he had to do, stand in front of the back four.
We will have dips, we have in the last couple of games, so will every team.
We will probably struggle against the Cloggers next week, especially with injuries, but if we can't be happy with our current situation, then when can we.
Some are just not happy unless we've got the minutest things to moan about.
We've just played the top 3 teams, 6 points, and a loss to the team currently at the top.
