Hope all our players will not get fatigue against Lyon and in a positive note, Lanzini will be back to bolster our midfielder department that we had been sorely missed as Benrahma was a bit weak on that area. Johnson will be on right back slot as Fredericks was a bit poor. Brentford will be a tough game and they are not a pushover. We need to maximise our performance to get something from that game.
Squad:
Fabianski
Johnson
Dawson
Zouma
Cresswell
Rice
Soucek
Bowen
Lanzini
Fornals
Antonio
This is a good as strong squad as we can get. Brentford will be high in confidence and we need to be strong on this one.
COYI!!!
Excellent start Ibbs, you'rve still got it ! Don't let anyone tell you, you have'nt.
With a beady eye on next Thursday, I would make the following adjustments.
Coufal has to start, as we will need him midweek and he needs game time. However he won't last 60 mins, so I would change him for Johnson. Cresswell can play the full 90 on the other flank as has made himself unavailable.
Having withdrawn the knacked Coufall on the hour, I would withdraw Rice,Antonio and Bowen. Keep them fresh.
Which means utilising the talents of messrs Vlasic,Noble,Yarmolenko or Benrahma for the last 30 mins. Not ideal and very un-Moyse; which probably signals hopes fading and dying and all that jazz.
Can't be helped - some people are just not for turning... and some people can't be helped
