Agree would be good addition for us (Phillips) but and average one for them, can see him being sent off when played trying to keep up with the city team if such quality

Phillips is an interesting one,if he lands there. I would have thought he's not good enough on the ball for that team. Or rather he would find himself, one of their tier 2 choices. Much like Nathan Ake - good but not vital
If his performance against Hungary is anything to go by I'm amazed they've gone in for him, but I accept one game isn't enough to make a judgement. I thought Vlasic was good against Leeds in the cup.
The Hungary game aside, Phillips was part of Englands double-pivot last year, during their charge (sic) to the Euro's final. Accepting that Rice is the better player the question of valuations is intriguing.

West ham have valued Rice at £120-£150M and the accepted value generally, is at least £110M+. Yet Phillips goes to Man City for £42M plus 5M addons. The difference between the two, is not imo £100M. And even if Rice joined Man City, I dont see him automatically displacing Rodri who I think is the best DM in the league.

Is this a case of Man City snapping up top talent and denying their rivals. Grealish,Phillips and Ake would be starters at most clubs and would improve almost all teams. Yet all three are not first IX at their club.

We're very close to agreeing a deal for Nigerian striker Legsa Kimbo.

All going nicely.
