Do we rest players for the Arsenal game?

Post by deanox »

Do we rest players for the Arsenal game?

This is a London derby and we also need to ensure we do not slip up and let Wolves take 7th place.

I have mixed emotions as to whether we rest players for the second semi in frankfurter land.

With only weeks to the end of the season I say we play Arsenal with the team which will start next Thursday, after all they are very well paid and professional athletes.

A euro hangover, from the...er, euro hangover; I feel.
Can't see anything but an Arse win.
Dawson out, not even sure Zouma is fit, he looks bigger with every game btw, and the Arse will want it more.
I would give for a win on Thursday and a loss to the Arse all day long.

100% for me.
For me at least.....next Thursday IS our season.

Strongest 11 or not.....Arse will beat us on Sunday anyway.

No.

Won't make any difference imo and getting 6th is better than 7th. Or 8th and no European football at all.

They ran us ragged when we last met, and that was when they weren't on a roll. On Sunday they will be playing a side who got zero points in the Eurovision contest, and a manager who knows we haven't got quality in the final third.

Might sound defeatist, but with Zuoma not 100 percent, Diop out more than likely, and Moyes decision regarding Dawson alreadymade for him the result almost seems like a foregone conclusion.

I'd give a couple of kids a game, but the lemur won't, he'll more or less play a team similar to the Chelsea match. I suspect when arsenal get to 6 or 7 he'll bring on Declan and Antonio.
Love a cup of Rosey I do.

This.

If not the kids, start all the fringe players. Yes, I’m including Kral in that.

Rest as many as we have replacements for from the fringes. All about next Thursday for me. Eggs all in the 1 basket

Can't disagree with your logic. But when I saw the line up against Chelsea I thought it could get very messy and, although we ended up with what most of us expected, we nearly came away with a point.

And I wouldn't describe you as defeatist Joe. I prefer realist. ;)

What was the point of Kral!?. Is he really that bad, that our manager and staff couldn't foresee that he would be a bench warmer.
Wasted wages that could have gone towards. a Striker option.
Fucking ludicrous.
