According to a Brum forum their ground is falling to bits, so much so that they've had to close parts of it due to safety measures. Apparently it's been in a poor state for quite some time and the cost to refurbish it runs in to millions.
So it would seem they've got two options. Either they bulldoze the whole thing and groundshare for a few years, or move out all together.
Now it just so happens that the commonwealth games are just around the corner, July 2022 to be precise and a newly refurbished all singing all dancing Alexander stadium in Birmingham is readying itself for athletics.
Now call me an old cynic, but could it just be the dwarf and his cohorts who are apparently funding a takeover are already readying themselves for a future in Brum, should the loan not be paid back in full. The man they're allegedly funding is shall we say, no mother Theresa and it's anticipated by some Brummies that the deal will eventually go tits up, whereby the dwarf and his friends will gain full control of the club and be free to do as they please.
Just think, acquire a football club for next to nothing, bulldoze St Andrews, turn it in to flats, move in to a newly refurbished athletics stadium, complete with athletics track and off you go again.
Marvelous stuff.
Love a cup of Rosey I do.

If it's the Alexander Stadium I think there are other plans community wise for it, and if I understood correctly the refurbishment was temporary and it will return to its 18,000 seater capacity.

What ever, I hope the slug come unstuck, but no doubt he is scheming.

The only thing that stopped them before when they were in charge up there, was the commonwealth games were awarded to Manchester, which scuppered their plans all together. Hence we have the Etihad today which is home to Man City, originally an athletics stadium, but converted in to a football stadium by sheikh Mansoor. No mean feat when you consider what had to be done, but it was probably loose change to him
Later on of course the Olympics were awarded to Britain and as luck would have it, here we are today. Sold ground, prime real estate, move the club etc etc.
But this time the commonwealth games are in Birmingham and the stadiums up and running. Chances are if (and it can't come quick enough for me) and when this filth leave us and eventually get their grubby fingers on Birmingham once again, we'll finally be rid of them and hopefully move forward.

100% BB. I just feel sorry for Brum if the filth return. They hated them then, they’ll hate them even more if they return. But if it means they’re gone from our place, I’ll be happy

Totally agree Joe.
The thing is with these people, they do their homework, months probably years in advance. Grudgingly I have to say they are very good at what they do.
Let's face it, they duped many a West Ham fan in to thinking they were God's gift.

At what point does someone say "Fuck it. I'm a billionaire. Time to put the feet up and see out my dying days on a Caribbean island with a porn star as my personal footstool." ?

Fucken hell - give it up already.
