I worked at a Factory back in the 80's..We sometimes did a few other jobs for the owner.He was a really nice fella,like yourself
,but he was tight has f*ck..This factory hada decent turnover back then,making shoes for M & S and other companies too.He wasn't short of a bob or two,
We were at his lovely mansion in the leafy suburbs of Hampstead sorting out some stuff with him and his daughter(she was a real sexy sort)
,when we come across an old tv.
His daughter said,"What should we do with that Daddy"
I suggested,renting it out for a laugh and he said"What a wonderful idea" : Me and my mate just lookes at each other and cracked up.
That told me everything that day.
I have also worked with my brother gardening in expensive properties with similar stories..That's all the majority care about,making money.,no matter how big or small the amount.
Go to your local Tesco on a Sunday an hour before they close,you will see plenty od customers not hard up for a bob or two,waiting for the lady to come out with the discount gun.
You will find the people with nearly f*ck all,the most generous mate.

That’s who I thought it would be too. And makes sense for Sullivan to have one of his trusted on the board who knows the club
