1999/2000 - Second round UEFA Cup - Steaua Bucharest knocked us out..............Galatasaray won it

My memory is pretty bad, but based on Tel’s OP (written in Hebrew no less), both of our losses to “we couldn’t score a goal at home against Astra Fucking Googoo” were in qualifiers?

Yeah ,it was mate.
I thought the first one was, but wasn’t sure of the second one. Either way, it was bloody embarrassing. Twice.
After we consolidated on that Payet season and brought in Lacazette instead of Simone Zaza, and Slav led us to a runners-up spot and then the Champions League, we lost in the semi-finals to Bayern Munich who then lost to Barcelona in the final.
