It’s the talk of the ‘big 6’ thingy again
Exactly Joe. Plenty of players not in the big 6 playing for England. And it’s the F.A doing it, not the premeskimo joe wrote: ↑Thu Jun 09, 2022 5:28 am Simple, play them all on the Friday, or ask those teams to omit chosen players. They had COVID last season, now they got the WC. They should be grateful for what they get, but the PL will pamper them as they supposedly generate a large part of the income. What about the lesser teams like us who have players in the England squad?! We don't matter.
How long they had to think of this?! Still time to go but it it took some time to think of it and come out with suggested exemptions for the super 6 only.
True, but the PL are going through the motions and considering it and no doubt will comply as the FA are a share holder, although they have no say in the day to day running.JayK wrote: ↑Thu Jun 09, 2022 8:20 amExactly Joe. And you could argue protecting Declan Rice and Jared Bowen is of equal importance - or even more - than, Liverpool's Trent-Alexander and Jordan Henderson.JayK wrote: ↑Thu Jun 09, 2022 8:20 amExactly Joe. Or maybe - they reason, Bowen and Rice will have already moved club by then...in which case the whole things a fix and we want our money back...
FIFA can probably think of a few reasons. One is the silent agenda you have already mentioned, another, and one they would have us believe, is the global introduction to football, to advertise how wonderful our beautiful game is, oh and did I mention how profitable?!terrya1965 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 09, 2022 11:31 am Still flabbergasted that we are having a World Cup in winter, just so them greedy arseholes at FIFA can fill their pockets.
I cannot think of one single other reason why it's a good for anything having there and that time of year?.
We should have been looking forward to it starting this month..The majority take their holidays in the summer to watch this event.I normally book a few weeks off,but not this year.I'm sure the majority will be doing the same..Apart from Christmas, this is when the country makes a fortune from booze and food, they will be lucky to make half of that this year with both events
