Rice's tirade

Post by eskimo joe »

Has cost him a two match ban, so will miss the opening two games of our European campaign. The only surprise there for me is it was only two. I guess it was one game per lug hole. Glad the ref didn't have three.

Does this ban count if he is wearing a Chelsea shirt in the Champions League?

I don`t see how anyone can justify his outburst and he can thank himself lucky it`s only 2 games.

Saying that giving someone a position of responsibility (captaincy) on talent alone is a tad irresponsible, his age experience and ego which has now reared it`s ugly head should also have been taken into consideration.

stupid boy Pike springs to mind, let your feet do the talking.

I tend to agree. However bad the ref was you can't blame him for us losing the semi-final. You just can't accuse an official of cheating. That's Mike Gatting territory.

Dec should have laid in to Cresswell for his stupidity and the jock for his negativity thereafter.

Yes, but I suspect you knew that already.

Yes showed some inexperience and naivety there as Captain.
Bonzo would have knocked the fucking ref spark out.

If he was going to abuse anyone it should have been Moyes for his tactical negativity which as usual puts our defence under so much pressure . But for a experienced defender Cresswell also showed why he needs replacing ( lack of pace and defensive aptitude ) .
Rice showed appalling naivety that day as a captain .
