As Moyes stated in his post match interview he tried to replicate the same tactics as we used when we drew with them at the end of last season and managed a draw.
He then stated that tactically we were out done by City.
So, using the same tactics and more or less the same team that were used throughout last season, he at no point thought we were going to be predictable to any manager in the PL let alone Pep...,..
If he intends to carry on with this type of mind set we could have a very frustrating season.
So why didn't Moyes change it , if he could see that the tactics we were employing weren't working ? .
There have been times and not just a few matches where the same happened and he/coaches did nothing to change it up .

Well I didn’t get to see the game until last night Clay , and even then only the second half , but nether the less I still feel qualified to suggest an answer to your question.

He is not a football man. He's a bloke that worked in the industry for some duration, got a chance at Man U and was exposed as lacking in essence. He didn't have it.
It's not a criticism of him, he's just an over prompted tosser. Like lunatic Liz
Now I don't have a footballing brain, but, he stated that City's 2 centre backs were playing in midfield, surely that means there's a big space behind them.
It might be a tad naive but surely by putting 2 upfront and hoofing it will force their defenders back......but I suppose you need to have a little possession to do that.

Age must be getting to me , as I don't remember their CB"s being that far forward , but if they where why didn't we as you say get the ball forward faster to our attackers .

Wasn’t it the full backs that were loading up the midfield, not the CB’s?

That's how I remember it as well , especially Cancelo .

I barely saw any of the game in all honesty Clay but I saw highlights and the interviews as well as bits of the game live. Guardiola talked about the full backs pushing up to midfield
