Not really totally true though is it? Think when UEFA abolished the inter toto those that would have qualified entered the qualifying stages of the EL. Though granted the conference league can be seen as an extension of the EL at the qualifying stages.
It was a chance for the victorious team to climb the ladder without relying on their league position, hard to do more than one step, but a chance non the less. Not to be scoffed at.

So far I've had a trial run and found that it's possible to get 17 of the little blighters in to a MK1 ford Cortina.

As long as the cunts can get to the Turkish border my VW van can cram 40 in.
But sadly we've got either a Danish team or one from the Faroe Islands. I may make the trip anyway at 10k a pop.
