Why is that? Don't you believe in charity? It's one of many ways to give extra money to community initiatives such as charities
As ypu arr aware, the point made was the teams playing do not stop the game being Mickey Mouse.
You never said that though did you? You said a waste of time, either way maybe it's not top drawer but charity is never a waste of time.

The final last season was contested by Roma and Feyenoord, both fairly significant European sides I would suggest!
Ommunity Shield - Liverpool v Man City.
Two very prominent/important teams but a waste of time match.
Ommunity shield? Is this a new Trophy?

Just picking you up on the predictive text too Numbnuts. 😂😉

Who didn't have to play against anyone to play in that game.

Whereas Roma and Feyenoord had to and wanted to win it

Do we have to register players with UEFA before our first game next week and if so if we recruit any new players after the deadline is there a chance they still may be able to play?

Hope the following helps

List A has to be submitted online by the following fixed deadlines:

1 July 2022 (24.00CET) for all matches in the first qualifying round;

15 July 2022round;

29 July 2022 (24.00CET) for all matches in the third qualifying round;

12 August 2022 (24.00CET) for all matches in the play-offs;

2 September 2022 (24.00CET) for all further matches from the first match in the group stage up to and including the final.

45.08
For the qualifying phase and the play-offs, a club may register a maximum of two new eligible players on List A after the above-mentioned deadlines, provided the quota of locally trained players is respected. Such registration must be completed by 24.00CET on the day before the relevant first-leg match and the club’s association must confirm in writing that the new player is eligible to play at domestic level at this time.

45.09
If the registration of such a new player causes the number of players on List A to exceed 25, the club must remove a currently registered player to reduce the squad to 25 players again.

45.10
Each club is entitled to register an unlimited number of players on List B during the season. The list must be submitted by no later than 24.00CET on the day before the match in question.

45.11
A player may be registered on List B if he is born on or after 1 January 2001 and since his 15th birthday has been eligible to play for the club concerned for any uninterrupted period of two years, or a total of three consecutive years with a maximum of one loan period to a club from the same association for a period not longer than one year. Players aged 16 may be registered on List B if they have been registered with the participating club for the previous two years without interruption.

45.12
Each club must include at least two goalkeepers on List A and at least three in total (List A and List B combined).

45.13
With regard to the definition of a “season” to be found in Paragraph 45.04 to Paragraph 45.05 of these regulations, as far as the determination of “locally trained players” is concerned, the relevant dates to be taken into account are those of the respective national championship calendar as originally scheduled, i.e. the prolongation of a national championship calendar due to an extraordinary situation in the season 2019/20 is not taken into account. Furthermore, for the season 2020/21 the period starting with the first official match of the relevant national championship and ending with the last official match of that relevant national championship is counted as full season regardless of the start and end date due to the extraordinary situation.
