Someone needs to take the blame for Vlasic coming here for megabucks…..when clubs don’t play someone and get rid of like they did with Vlasic at Everton ,
it’s normally for a good reason…they are not seen as capable of making in it in this league….so I ask you….what fool actually thought that a few years in a very poor Russian league would have improved him to the point that he was worth forking out a fortune to bring back to the prem…….Some transfers you can’t be sure if they will be a success or not but I never gave this one a hope from the start…crazy signing !
If another club make a bad signing, say Man Utd or Spurs, we immediately slag off and blame the manager, never the owners.
We asked a bad signing and its the owners fault to many.
Fans looking to give Moyes easy ride and to confirm their feelings about the owners.
Is that really surprising? Considering their form and the fact we already know they had their finger in the pie before Moyes arrived, plus they tried it on recently.
Now it seems you need to flip a coin to decide. But you can only go on supposition and what seems to fit the bill. Personally I think both parties are guilty and both have taken blame, maybe in different areas but both have. The truth only lays truly with them.
Moyes has done very well turning the club from perennial relegation candidates into , er , not perennial relegation candidates .
But by his own recent admissions our opponents have pretty much caught on and to coin an old fashioned phrase , have sussed him and us out.
He’s now in the position of having to completely rebuild and change the way we play .
I’m prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt and suggest that his apparent lack of tactical nous and inability to change things in-game has been due to what he has had to work with and divert much of the blame in the direction of the way the club has made a complete hash of its transfer policy , lack of investment and total lack of foresight.
We are going to be short in quite a few areas come deadline day and with more players needing replacing this time next year I don’t envy the job Moyes has.
