West Ham vs Brighton Official Match Thread

Post by Ibbyham »

Hope our win against Viborg will kick start our season and we need to end the Brighton nightmare as we never win against them in the Premier League since their promotion in 2016 and hope that will end. On a plus side we will have a better defensive shape with Kehrer and Ogbonna back in tour squad. Rice will be back refresh and hope he will be given a top performance to make up from last week defeat. Cresswell will be back and hope he will be more sharper this time. Cornet MUST start as he was excellent against Viborg with Benrahma in middle of the attacking midfielder. Moyes must decide who will be the striker on Sunday.....Antonio or Scamacca? Hope Benrahma will continue his excellent form if West Ham want to keep him.

Squad:

Fabianski

Coufal
Zouma
Kehrer
Cresswell

Rice
Soucek

Bowen
Benrahma
Cornet

Antonio or Scamacca

We need to end the winless run against Brighton as they are the toughest side to beat after they had a good start. We need to be man up and be counted and not to let them bullied us.

How about

Fabianski
Ashby Kehrer Zouma Cornet
Rice Young Flynn
Bowen Fornals Benrahma
Scamacca/Antonio

that way you keep most of the shit out the team and just
have to limp through until the club signs a proper midfield architect.

They have only had six weeks...but you can't hurry love

That's 12 players. Even Mike Dean would notice that.

would settle for a point.

Not sure in my 50 odd years of supporting WHU i've ever encountered a bogey team (outside the usual top 4 suspects) as problomatic as brighton. Glenn fucking murray still haunts my dreams.

That said they are a decent team and should be fighting for 6-8th place same as us........aint no gimmies in the prem..no sir....in fairness we could be the everton of the season unless we string some performances together sharpish.

Not very good at predicting teams , but would get fornals as 10 , get benny on and try and start scammaca and involve antonio 2nd half with him......somehow....over to moyes i guess.

He might be able to count but he has trouble with the laws of the game.

Scamacca to start, but I bet it's the other way around.

In fairness, I think Graham Potter has just decoded DMs clever tactical arrangements. It's like his radar has penetrated West Hams's enigma code.

Michail's scoring cameo will have cemented his place for two months I would imagine. But winning is what Moyes does.
