Will Arsenal take court action if City were to get just a fine and win the title I wonder
Quite possibly. And then City would demand someone looked into Chelsea's recent spending and long contract creative accounting. And we'll soon have Sky Sports announcing "Could be a key week for the Premier League at the High Court-----and it's LIVE"
Why Is There Only One Monopolies Commission. Isn't That A Monopoly?
Nothing to do with Juve. They were dealt with by the Italian F A. City will be dealt with by the P L. Storm, teacup, etc etc
If they are not prepared to take action, then why bother looking and highlighting?
Luton were docked 30pts or something ridiculous which effectively relegated them to conference league for financial irregularities.
There will be outrage if found guilty and it a slap in the wrist.
I guess, and it is only a guess, they are "acting" because of pressure from other member clubs. This has been going on for, what, 3 years now and we seem to be no further down the road than when we started. If they are found guilty as someone else has said on here can you imagine the legal actions that could follow if, say, a club relegated by one point demands all City's results in that season were expunged because it would mean they wouldn't have been relegated. It wouldn't so much open a can of worms as open a bloody 200 litre oil drum full of serpents. And then there's the clubs that missed out on the CL, and the money that involved. Far fetched ? That's what people said when Sheffield United took their action against us years ago.
I do remember the Luton thing. But if memory serves it was the third time Luton had been done for the same irregularity. And of course poor old Luton didn't have the same legal muscle that Manchester City can muster. You can push little people around but it's a different story when you come up against someone who has the means of fighting back.

I reckon Pep will resign come what may. And it seems all of the other 'big 6' want them relegated. Well they would wouldn't they.
If it goes against then, and who knows if it will, it will be Newcastle under the microscope next.
It's lucky our wealth doesn't come from the desert but good old fashioned hard work and rampant-rabbit dildos.
The victim culture now so prevalent in the modern world will guarantee that MCFC, supporting media and all other interested parties will scream out “why us?” The precedent will then be set for every PL club to face the same scrutiny.
The ESL mafia will also be on the phone to MCFC saying…. “you see, we told you, you’re better off without them”.
Fancy calling your only son "Barnestoneworth"
He's got another name....
Yeah....."United"
Just been speaking with a friend who works at a rather large legal company involved in this...Sais theyve got City bang to rights on most charges...not a hope in hells chance theyll throw them out of the prem or massive points deduction, more of a show case as theres a few other clubs massively in breach of same rules/laws etc, so hoping this will scare them into coming clean in private etc etc...a common tactic...just a big fine to enrich the Prem coffers...dont wanna be shooting themselves in the foot too badly
