Ahh, good old Roy. The man who makes Southgate look like Pep Guardiola.
The ex England manager who refused to do an interview after failing in a tournament because he said he doesn't have to face the media, until someone reminded him that it is part of his job and contract, and actually he does.
I was hoping he would get the Spuds gig personally.

I think with Viera, they lost their way a bit and he just couldn't put the confidence back into the players that they had before. He had a spat with Derry, one of the coaches, who the players really liked(apparently) and Viera ditched him. They were playing some nice football too under him before the slump.

They have a 10 week slump and they ditch the manager. We have a 10 week, plus ONE YEAR slump and our manager is still here. :?
BUT BUT BUT he was a young(ish) progressive manager Vieira ......

A bit like Nagelsman who Bayern are sacking. A manager who people on here were lauding as the best up and coming manager. They are appointing Tuchel who was replaced by the up and coming manager Frank Lampard.....but fans know best (a bit like when Arsenal fans were baying for Arteta to be sacked last season)

Nothing wrong with an old experienced manager if they can adapt and know what they are doing.

If you are happy having an un-progressive manager like Moyes playing pragmatic boring football is your cup of tea, than that's your perogative.

I'd take Nagelsmann tomorrow H.

So you would accept a manager that has taken his side backwards and is on holiday as the team flounder then. Nagelsman is hardly playing progressive football at Bayern.

Didnt say they don't but its when clubs act based on the fans wishes where it all goes wrong as fans are fickle. Spurs fans were all excited about getting Conte in and now look, they have all u turned.

They do have a right to an opinion but in most cases they are wrong so its good when clubs make decisions based on more than fan emotion. The number of so called progressive managers getting sacked and replaced by seasoned pros is increasing.

In fact I got that wrong....Chelsea have actually done it twice....fired Conte and Sarri and got a young progressive Lampard and went backwards. Replaced him with Tuchel and then sacked him and replaced him with Progressive Potter. Now they have gone backwards and are 10th.....progressive !

I remember some saying the same thing about Silva.
He's returned to the premier league with Fulham and thus far is doing very well.
Sometimes the manager is not a right fit for a club, it the board that he/she works for.
I think most Spurs fans are fully behind Conte, and it is Levy they have the problem with.

Isn't this what Moyes has done this season, and didn't he fuck off to Florida during the world cup,?
I think Potter is getting shafted by the players at Chelsea. Because he came from Brighton, and not Real Madrid or the like, they think they are better than him.
A few Chelsea fans I know are the same. He's out of his depth, etc, etc. He's been in the job 5 minutes.
I think most people wouldn't have chosen Moyes, but most were pleasantly surprised how he got us playing, and put some energy back in the players.
Unfortunately, I think as we are finding out, a leopard or a stubborn Scottish cunt don't change its spots

Bayern are hardly floundering. They are second in the Bundesliga and will return to the top if they beat Dortmund when proper football resumes after the international break. And of course they are in the quarter finals of the Champions League. Being sacked by Bayern is nothing new. This is the club that once dispensed with the services of Jupp Heynckes after he had won the treble FFS.

But a moot point as the idea of Nagelsmann shipping up at a club like West Ham is a complete non starter.
