And let's not forget the plod spotters at the mainline London stations who used to walk around and ask you if you supported West Ham 😂

Not me mate I'm off to Manchester to an Eccles cake exhibition 😂😂😂.

The days when , if you wanted to go away games you either just went & paid on the turnstiles or , on occasion, queued up , sometimes all the way down green street to buy tickets .

It wasn’t easy avoiding aggravation as we were all tarred with the same brush unfortunately and it was a bit dicey at times .
Just for the sake of reminiscing I remember this game on a Tuesday night .
Not a pleasant experience but the game and in particular the result made it all worth it .

I remember being 16 , hadn’t long started work up the city and went straight to work the next day as the football special was so fucking slow it took most of the night to get back to Euston or wherever it was .
You should have seen the faces on the suits when I showed up at 8am with a dozen stitches in my nut because the cowardly cunts outside Ayresome Park showered the police escort with housebricks and rubble from a nearby building site .
Fucking shameful . Great night though thanks to Psycho.

I remember the mud bath of 75 quarter final when we took over fucking Highbury sure one of our goals come from the ball getting stuck in the pissing down rain and mud.
The semi replay at Stamford Bridge it fucking pissed down with snow in April ffs.
