Ibby I get what you have heard about his style but there is nothing wrong with a defensive style (see Real Madrid against Citeh) but you have to also have mobile defenders who are calm on the ball and can move the ball forward with pace.

We have to understand we are not (at present) a top six side. We maybe could get lucky and sneak in but to consistently be a top six side we will need a change in the boardroom with a new owner who has deep pockets, but even then, look at Newcastle. With all the financial restrictions being set up iwe will be lucky to break into the top 6 on a regular basis.

Anyway, back to Loppy, he can only be as good as the squad he has, so let's hope the dwarf can keep our best players and add some better players whilst not being scared to infuse the team with some of our really talents youngsters.
Totally agreed, hope Loppy won't be as stubborn as Moyes in transfers and hope Loppy want a big squad of 25 than 19 that Moyes already have. Loppy did well at Wolves lifting them from bottom to 13th so hopefully he will be an improvement with Stiedten bringing in players and making the strength in depth more stronger. Moyes in 2021 had a decent squad in depth but his time-wasting on transfers during the last 3 windows was absolutely joke and losses so many players the fans want to see. Hope Loppy will work well in connection with Steidten is the MOST important factor as Loppy will be head-coach rather than manager.

Change is what was needed. Change is what was wanted by many. Change is what the dwarf has implemented. Will it be a change for the better? Who knows but one thing I do know is our team needs investment. Loppy is going to have his hands full trying to get that investment and I suspect Sully will stick to his usual formula of appeasement in the first window followed by lacklustre fiddling in the next but we shall see.
I used to get animated with these thing years ago but not anymore as football has changed so much from my early days, as have I. Time to look forward to the next chapter in our rollercoaster West Ham story.

Bottom at Christmas with just 6 points?
Are you sure you aren’t getting confused with Jays predictor scores?
Hey.....Lay off Jay........at least he is trying...

I think that's hit the nail firmly on it's head mate. Everyone is making their mind up based on what the click bait jungle drujms are telling us to think. From my perspective all I know about the blokwe is based on his short time at Wolves which I guess could be classed as a success. 20th when he arrived, 13th when he quit.

If the rumours are to be believed and Loppy is the new manager , either he's in it for the money only or the pornmiester has promised him a good wad of readies to rebuild the squad , because it will take a few transfer windows to sort out the mess that Moyes has left us in .
At least we'll still have Steidten who likes to find a good bargain at the club hopefully.
I for one don't have an issue with the appointment, he wouldn't be my first choice , but he's better then what most of us expected from Sullivan.
We'll have to give him time obviously , he'll have summer and the January windows to try and make us a midtable Premier league club rather then one heading for relegation.
And then we will know one way or the other the following season if he is the man for the job but only if the board back him , because he has fuck all to work with at the moment.

Unfortunately any club at our level of the pecking order can only attract decent candidates by offering top dollar. And in addition to our plaxe in the pecking order there is also the dwarf's reputation in the game to be overcome to convince a candidate to sign on the dotted line.

Well gotta say if it is true then not a big surprise. With the dwarfs size, making big strides forward would be too much to ask. Dwarfy boy can then say that he had a hand in choosing. Side step, unless Loppy has changed, but preferable to the reptile that is leaving.

Will be bottom on Christmas Day with 6 points out of 19.

Sullivan, do the decent things and GET OUT OF OUR CLUB!!!!!!!
Fuck me ibbs his arse hasn’t touched the seat yet :D
No nothing about him other than he was at wolves for a short period & he’s obviously managed at the top level. Anyone got info on his style? Someone mentioned it’s got pelegrini vibes…in all fairness I was excited when he turned up.

Well according to Wolves supporters he likes to start fast and sit back Moysie style when leading. So almost a carbon copy by sounds, we will see, if it happens.

Hope Loppy will do well if he signed a contract.
