I'll ask the question then. Why do we need him? We have Kouyate, Nordtveit, Noble, Obiang and Oxford who can all play DM, fuck me you could probably ask Antonio and he'd play there too.

Nah, this link for Hutchinson smacks of Obiang leaving which would be a bloody travesty.
Who the fuck is General Failure and why is he reading my harddisk?

Hello Lewis,The fact is Obiang has shown there is a good player in him waiting for a chance to get a run of first team games.I agree at present he is not first choice, but he could prove good enough to take someone's place in a season or two!
Atiba who were linked with,he is in the twilight of his career and unlikely to dislodge Nobes or Kouyate from the team in the forth coming season!which in my opinion make keeping Obiang and playing him in Europe the better option of the two.And it could help to bring him through,so he can challenge for a starting place in the prem more regularly.

I'm with you on that one, I certainly think that he is a level below Kouyate & Noble.

However I still think he is a decent squad player and if he is happy to stay then I'd certainly prefer him over another squad player at the end of his career.

Agree with all that. Obiang is decent defensively, but needs to add a goal or two and I can't remember him playing many killer balls. Still think we should keep, but I'd put him behind Kouyate, Noble and Oxford and please no mentioning of Antonio in defensive midfield roles please
