Super Mario

Post by h69 »

For a player that has played little football recently and just moved to a new country with a more frenetic playing style, I thought Mario looked every inch the 30M player that he is.

Once he has played a couple more games and gained match fitness, I look forward to seeing him play with Lanzini and Arnie and maybe Antonio if he gets to the ground on time. That would be rather potent.

I was particularly impressed that he appears to be an intelligent player. Shame he didn't connect properly with the chance early doors. That would have capped an impressive performance.

Our problem is going to be holding onto him of course.

Agreed....so nice to see a player put his foot on the ball and look around for a pass. I'll worry about keeping him at the end of the season and try and enjoy him while he is here for now.

Surely a player who has played in a European Championship winning team and one of the best leagues in the world whilst valued at £30m SHOULD look decent on a football field.

Come on!!!

Of course but not all of them settle and produce the goods especially in Premier League football

I believe Juan Veron and Renato Sanches are good examples of two that did not.
