On the subject of age a lad that works for me (aged 20) asked me earlier on today what I felt like for dinner. I started singing "I feel like Chicken Tonight" and flapping my arms around in the style of Kevin Nolan.
He looked at me in a puzzled fashion and said "what are you doing? Why do you like Chicken so much you weirdo?". Anyway I told him "It's like the fucking advert innit" he answered "what advert?" I replied and informed him that it was a famous advert on TV and everyone knew the song . . . . . didn't they?
After much discussion and disbelief that he didn't know the Chicken Tonight song I pulled the thing up on YouTube and it said 'Chicken Tonight Advert 1992' . . . . . . . . he wasn't even fucking born.
I had a similar situation with my son except it was the R Whites lemonade advert...
One of my all time faves...... (I wonder how the advertising agency pitched their artistic vision to the client ...???)
