Simples.

The US and the Poles fear that would make Putin think it was an escalation in the war bringing NATO into it which, given his desperate state, encourage him to go to snapcount.
Shades of Baldrick there. The Poles come up with a cunning plan which they advertise noisily and ask the US to be the intermediary broker. The US say - No. Not happening..

The US do however, shut McDonald's in Russia, which the Russians rate as gourmet dining. Nobody points out that this might actually be a good thing.
1700 roubles buys you two big macs, large fries and a vodka smoothie.

Pizza Hut don't operate in Russia, but if they did...
Sadly my favourite fast food outlet haven't shut it's doors yet so it's no Zinger burgers for me until further notice.

That'll learn 'em.

He should be thinking that already then with all the supplies countries been sending them
He may well be and like a cornered rat could lash out but the west can't risk a ramping up a situation that may result in the only living thing left in London was Keith Richards.

So lets be clear - people are actually having a debate on the merits of dying: being blasted apart by pieces of hot metal verses being killed by respiratory failure.

And they are saying, if you kill us by these means - then you have just gone too far and we can't accept it.

Great. Somebody could point out, that chemicals don't destroy all the buildings and leave the landscape torn and frayed.

I see the tory government have offered £350 a month to open their homes or have empty properties to people fleeing the war in Ukraine

How many people do you know that have got empty properties hanging round? :chin:

It feels kinda weird, this time last year or longer, we were not allowed to see our loved ones because of Covid. Now the doors are open into our houses for refugees.
