Things is BD if it was physically passed on from a visiting family member that would be so easy to identify, and pinpoint
even...There's lots they the Government hold back for various reasons, all for the countries benefit...
Any travel from India which there still was ..everyone had to be tested and isolate on entry..so would still be hard for
it to travel in.

If they actually named and shamed if you like.. would befuckin chaos...especially as lots of new infections would come
from what we PCingly call the ethnic backgrounds.

They've actual managed to trace the initial first points of contacts on it's introduction to the UK...
We had potentially thousands...States the same ..France had plenty...other Euro countries not so much...Places
like Aus and Kiwiland had relatively few initial infections.....hence why some countries it troubled more than others.
Now you’re deliberately trying to confuse me
What is more likely is,when millions of Hindus in India converged during the festival of Kumbh Mela; to partake of their holy celebrations, with dips in the Ganges and mix on the riverbanks, with cheese & pickle sarnies and cans of sprite, they accidentally were the catalyst for the mother of all super spreader events.

Then having recently cleansed their soul they returned home, bringing variant B.1.167 with them and passed it on for free. Some of these intrepid travellers made it back to their adoptive home in Hounslow West-London. It's good to talk

Mass gatherings in general. Like scores of UK Muslims going indoors at a temporary mosque in someone's house during the first lockdown in full knowledge of the local plod who'd do fuck all about it.

But if Susan from Derbyshire walked alongside her sister in a park then there'd be hell to pay.

In the interests of keeping the fire burning under Project Fear another "scientist" has crawled out from under his test tube to advocate delaying the final relaxation of lockdown for "a few more weeks".

Far be it from me to introduce a racial element into this but it appears the areas where infection rates are rising are areas of high Asian populations who, if the stats are to be believed, are much less likely to have been vaccinated. If that is the case and they catch the bloody thing and croak why should anyone really give a toss ?

The "scientist" in question is one Professor Ravi Gupta. I will make no comment as to his ethnicity.

This is good: the WHO recommended a new set of names for the coronavirus “variants of concern”. These are the four you need to know:

Alpha - UK/Kent (B.1.1.7)
Beta - South Africa (B.1.351)
Gamma - Brazil (P.1)
Delta - India (B.1.617.2)

first off, anybody wondering what it's got to do with Daltrey/Townsend, it's not them. It's the health organisation, who are important peeps by the way.

And these names are derived from the Greek alphabet. It could have been worse, as initially they were going to go with names of Greek gods. Thor,Zeus and other favourites but some of those are under copywrite to Disney corp.

What's the reception been like we wonder. The media love this type of stuff to play about with, because it's-good-to-be-square.

But can you really have Alpha without Bravo, Beta without VHS, Gamma without Ray and Delta without SAS. Already it becomes more confusing and this is just the start. You just wait once they have got past Epsilon,Kappa,Sigma and Omega...then you are into your Chi's,Iota's and Omicron's.

and people sometimes wonder why brainstorms usually end in a fuck up...

Probably sums us very nicely how relevant the World Health Organisation is in today' world if all they have to occupy their minds is giving names to a killer plague that never was.

It has never done what it said on the tin and those people who invested fortunes in plague pits for rent are seriously out of pocket. Questions need to be asked and people held to account. ;)
