I cannot be too disappointed at the outcome, I love Perez. there's some strong Mercedes tracks to come. ;)

Yeah, me to. It was damage limitation going into this weekend, so in that sense it's a pretty good result.
But there's still that feeling of 'What if......?'

Rumour mill suggests that there is a 98% chance that George Russell will end up at Mercedes for 2022.

Should Mercedes announce this sooner then later so Bottas can find a seat for next year? or he will likely end up at Williams if there is a delay or he may end up retiring from F1.

For me Bottas going back to Williams is nailed on. I would be very surprised if it doesn't happen. He did so well when he was there before, so for him it would be a bit like going home. What better place to get your head back together and rebuild your career.
And what a great asset he could be for Williams as they rebuild themselves. To me it makes absolute sense for both parties.

Having the experience that Bottas has, could very well catapult Williams to a challenging teams for next year. Russell does not yet have the experience yet and having a mentor like Hamilton will help Mercedes for the coming years when Hamilton retires.

Another good race with Verstappen winning in France. This could be a tight battle for the WC we've had for ages.

Hamiltpn 2nd and Perez 3rd

Bottas 4th and great performances from the McLaren boys Norris 5th and Ricciardo 6th. Has Ricciardo found his mojo finally which now allows the team to stay in 3rd place in the WC from Ferrari.

Gasley 7th, Alonso 8th, and Vettel beats his team mate Stroll   9th and 10th place.

Austria is next weekend.
