He was. A great story teller with his fictitious mate Penberthy often involved.
'One night Penberthy and me missed the last bus after a late one at the pub so we started walking. After a bit we got to the bus station.
Why not steal a bus to get home said Penberthy.
So we broke in and I started up the engine in the one in front only for Penberthy to say we had to get the one at the back.
Why ? I said.
Because the one in front says it's going to Truro said Penberthy.'
