Fuck me, can't anything happen without you lot thinking it's a conspiracy??
So Jada developed an auto immune disease to help Pfizer promote their alopecia drug? The leaps you lot make are incredible.
Joke made about alopecia
Big fake huha that gets massively hyped by the press
More articles about alopecia than you can count on all of your fingers and toes straight after
Big pharma have a new drug to sell that supposedly cures alopecia
The fact you jumped to the autoimmune point beggars belief really
The Pfizer marketing people got the Oscars organisers together with Will Smith and Chris Rock, and said "we've got this idea that we need you to take part in. Chris, you need to make a joke about Will's wife being bald. You ok with that, Will? Good. Then, Will, you laugh at first as though it's funny, but then you catch Jada's eye - yeah, better make sure she's up for this too - and you suddenly march up to Chris and smack him in the face. Chris, that good with you? It's to promote this drug we've got which treats alopecia. So we're all in, yeah?"
And of course they all agreed to it.
Will happily asked his wife if she could be the butt of a joke, to help Pfizer with some sales. He agreed to potentially jeopardise his own career and risk arrest because, well, why not? And Chris went along with it all because he's up for a laugh.
All this for a drug aimed at a very niche market, the target being those who suffer from baldness and want treatment for it, who in all likelihood would've been aware of what treatments are on the market anyway.
Like I said, leaps!
