Very sad today hearing the news that Dennis Waterman has passed away aged 74 today.
Growing up loved the Sweeney and Minder and still watch those shows today. I've recently started looking at the other TV show "New Tricks"as well which later stars Nicholas Lyndhurst(Only Fools and Horses and Butterfly fame).
He will now join his good friend John Thaw in the clouds above.
A Big part of my tv habits growing up in the 70's and early 80's.Two terrific shows in The Sweeney & Minder.I absolutely loved The Sweeney.Still the best Cops show ever made in my opinion.
Like both his co-stars John Thaw and George Cole,he will never be forgotten.

Would never miss watching Minder as a kid growing up,
And he was triffic in new tricks.
